Youth Financial Literacy Program

Since 2000, Motor City has sponsored “Making the Right Money Moves”; a program investment of over $38,000. This program was included in  local high schools teachers’ curriculum that reached over 2,500 students.  In addition to the workbooks and videos provided, Motor City representatives visited classrooms to discuss students’ financial future including such topics as credit scores, loans and savings.  We are proud to have sponsored this program at Center Line High School, Chippewa Valley High School, Dakota High School, Fitzgerald High School and Fraser High School.

If you are a teacher or youth director and would like a Motor City representative to discuss Financial Literacy with your classroom or group, please contact Gail Hernalsteen at ghernalsteen@motorcitycoopcu.com or call 586-228-8484, extension 2024.
